Is there something that tin be done so when you fill up the gas tank the nozzle doesn't shut off every minute

    • #two

Hold the nozzle and then that it is pointing to about one 'o clock. If you look inside the fill tube you volition encounter that that is the angle of the tube going to the tank. Lining the nozzle upwards with the tube should make information technology better.

Yep, I besides put information technology on the boring speed (1st lock), not full speed. Since it's a pocket-size tank (9 gal) it doesn't take that much longer. Keeps it from flood/running all downwardly the rear deck as well.

The 2020+ has two plastic guides that the nozzle just fits between. I don't know near the years before 2020. If you don't stick the nozzle betwixt them you are going to take issues.. Fifty-fifty and so if the pump delivers fuel to speedily it will requite close off. I run across you said that you are trying to pump slow and then I would bet on nozzle position.

Here in California we take those smog control vapor return gas nozzles and if they don't seal correctly they can be a hurting in the butt - there is i station I often gas at that the merely mode to get it to stay on when gassing the sling is to hold the end sealing part up with my left hand and operate the trigger grip with my correct - - on the other hand I gassed at a different station this morning and the nozzle worked perfectly and I could even lock information technology on and it kept going until the tank was full

fortunately the tank is and then small that even if I have to apply both hands to get the pump to work it actually isn't that inconvenient

I insert the nozzle upside down and fill full force until I hear it just about full. And then finish slowly. Works every time.

sometimes I tin can fill it without a trouble and others not.....same with my pick up truck... it'southward all in the angle...

I try to get it in between the guides and stick it in and then I can scout within the top the tube... ..once I get information technology going I can squeeze the handle all the way downwardly.....stop filling when information technology shuts off automatically....don't over fill up any vehicle.. no top offs.... .information technology screws upwards the vacuum test. Sucks gas where it's not supposed to be....

that all said....I commonly go to the aforementioned gas station and the same pump...so I know exactly how it works..... perchance different pumps operate at different pressures which could cause your trouble...

My inside guides betoken at about 10 o'clock looking at it from the side...

equally long as its been this way here information technology actually seems very normal, in fact when I am in other states where they don't take the huge collar effectually the nozzle like they practise hither I always have to do a double take to be certain I am not grabbing the diesel nozzle
